How Many Affiliate Websites Should You Build?

ByMichael Cervantes
In the past, pretty much all affiliate marketers would focus on building dozens, if not hundreds, of mini-sites in many different niches. These miniature websites would only have a few pages of content each, and they were usually designed to make a small amount of money (perhaps a few dollars per day). While some of these websites could certainly be more lucrative depending on the niche, most of the marketers who build these kinds of sites were relying on volume.
When you first think about it, you might not be too impressed by the website that makes a dollar a day or even five dollars a day. But imagine that you have 100 websites, and each of them makes you choose one dollar a day. All of a sudden, you are making about $3000 a month, and I'm sure that sounds a little more impressive.
Now, imagine that each of your websites is making at least five dollar today, and you are looking at a monthly income of $15,000. From there, you can do the math yourself and come up with any number of scenarios where lots of small websites could add up to a significant amount of income. In fact, some of the most successful affiliate marketers like Joel Peterson have thousands of websites that make just a few dollars each on average.
Even though this business model still works, there are certain caveats that you should be aware of. First of all, even though these are small websites with relatively few articles, those articles or blog posts still need to have good information. We are way past the days when you could use gibberish articles or build websites with automated software and expect your websites to last for very long. So even though these are small websites, the quality still needs to be decent.
Also, Google has become more demanding when it comes to search engine rankings, so you may have a harder time getting high rankings for some of your websites. Again, this model can still work well, but you shouldn't put too much stock in any given website. Some of them may never rank well or make very much money, while others can make far more than just a few dollars a day. Again, you're looking for volume with this business model, and you're expecting the average website to make something like a few dollars per day.
The advantages of building smaller websites
Even though I would encourage you to focus on building larger websites in one or two niches, this isn't the only way to be successful. There are definitely some advantages to building lots of small websites.
These websites are simple to make, and you can participate in many different niches in case you have a tendency to become bored. This business model tends to focus more on promoting physical products through affiliate programs on Amazon.com, eBay, and similar programs, along with Google AdSense.
For some people, building one or two large affiliate sites may feel like you're putting all of your eggs into one basket. If you'd prefer to build many small sites, you can sleep well knowing that if any one of your websites stopped producing for whatever reason, you can still have a large portfolio of additional websites bringing in revenue every day.

ByGina Bartone With so many Gurus telling us how they made it on the internet, how do you know what will work for you and where do you start? Once you open the door to the possibility of the internet marketing world, you seem to be faced with more questions than answers. So I suggest, pick a system and just follow it. How to Crush It With Facebook Ads

It seems there are a lot of people out there that have a negative view of using pay-per-click advertising to build their list. Paid advertising is in fact one of the BEST ways to authentically and rapidly build your list with highly qualified and motivated leads. But, you have to be willing to pay. So, as an Internet marketer, I strongly feel that online ads are an integral part of any marketing campaign. It's our duty (and sometimes a challenge) to design ads that catch the user's attention and get them to click on it. It's as simple as that. One of the more popular places where online ads have been growing in popularity is on Facebook. The social networking site has over 750 million users - which demonstrates a massive reach when it comes to offering your services into new markets. Thus, it makes sense that Internet marketers have been using Facebook as another platform (along with Google AdWords) to extend their marketing campaign. But, there is a catch. What is the...
