Affiliate marketing is really selling other peoples' products for them on the internet. Examples of affiliate products include Mike Dillard's Elevation Group or Daegan Smith's Maximum Leverage.

Although affiliate marketing is the quickest way that you can make a buck online and is a very simple process because you only need to share a link with others, it is not the best way to make money online. The best way to make money online is really creating your own products so you can earn 100% commission....but that discussion for another day.

Like I mentioned above, affiliate marketing is a way to make money but not the best way as you do not earn 100% of the commission. But, there are benefits to jumping in and becoming an affiliate marketer including:

No need to create a product because you are just marketing the affiliate productYou can start marketing affiliate products for little or no money at allNo need to worry about customer fulfillment and payments as the merchant will handle this entire process for you.You can make money while you sleep. Again, you need to get your affiliate link in front of as many people as possible and they can purchase all hours of the day or night.Can move to the hottest markets out on the internet as start promoting affiliate programs. If a particular affiliate offer is the new hottest thing, you can be a part of the action and start promoting that product immediately.

So now that you understand the basic benefits of affiliate marketing, below are some of the simple steps that you need to take in order to become an affiliate marketing and market products like Maximum-Leverage or The Elevation Group.

First of all you need to search a market which you think is the best to start with. For me, it is people interested in network marketing and how to be successful so I will promote these products as it aligns with what I am doing right now.
Register to be an affiliate - you can promote products on ClickBank so you would need to register there. If you want to promote something like Maximum-Leverage or The Elevation Group, then you can go straight to their websites and they should have a section for affiliates. You simple register and they are all free.
One you find the product that you want to promote, you will get the specific affiliate link. From here, you now need to promote that link and get it in front of as many people as possible. To be successful in affiliate marketing, you need to get the link in front of people.
Track your marketing strategies and find which ones are successful and tweak as appropriate. From here, just want for your commissions checks to come on in.

A little secret that I do with affiliate marketing is that I find products that I want to purchase. Then I sign up for the affiliate program. From there, I find the affiliate link and actually purchase the product that I am interested in as an affiliate. What does this do for my? Well, simply I get my products for a 25% to 50% discount off of the public. Not too bad...eh?
