Tracking is introduced in the affiliate marketing basics quite early. However, it seems to only be applied to tracking affiliate links. Tracking keywords is rather overlooked. It is imperative to track keywords so you know if you are working with something profitable, or something that is garbage. It really stings to discover hours of time wasted on a keyword that turned out to be negative. The SEO tools allow you to enter all of your keywords and your URL in to the software and it reveals your rank for each keyword. No matter how good or bad a keyword looks initially, for each keyword and the content they are in, you have to build back links for them. I will discuss how to create quality back links in a future article, for now, I want you to focus on establishing a strong keyword foundation to build your traffic from.
Google Analytics is always introduced in the affiliate marketing basics. It must be installed on your blog. It is your weapon to maximize your keyword potential. Create more content around the search terms (keywords) that are bringing you traffic!
