Basic Affiliate Marketing Advice

It seems like almost every day Affiliate Marketing is getting a bad rap. More and more people are turning to it for the wrong reasons. The get-rich-quick promises made by super-marketing gurus are masking the true and honest nature of it. People are needlessly spending Millions of Dollars to try and capture a piece of the pie that was doomed to fail from the start.

The story is truly a sad one. What starts to turn my stomach is the target of these products are people who are desperate to make ends meet. I've been doing affiliate marketing for three years, I'm not rich. It is not because I can't be. Rather, it is because I have principles.

The truth is most of that money for these systems is gone and what is not gone is drying up fast. It is drying up so fast, the marketing gurus have turned to selling e-books and systems. Yes, instead of doing affiliate marketing themselves, they are now turning to marketing their own products.

While the system was making money, it was a secret, but things changed. More people were doing it. Now that there are so many people doing it, only a few niches remain. And, those niches are going fast!

The tip off: Apparently they can't sell the products for $1000's of dollars any more. They have to practically give it away. But not after making another quick buck in the process.

If the first product failed you, what makes you think that the next one won't? It must be you, because the system is proven, Right? Wrong! In fact you are not the problem. It is the Get Rich mentality that is the problem. The fact that is has been going on so long is another.

There are some shady techniques used in giving proof that a system works. Have you ever considered how easy it is to capture the source from a web-site and doctor it to make it look like amazing profits were made. It is very easy. Too easy. I am a web developer and have been a computer professional for over 30 years - trust me it is way too easy to do.

Forget Get-Rich-Quick and Start thinking Business.

Not any business --Your business.

A REAL business.

As an affiliate marketer, you become part of an extended sales force for selling products. You are now in the business of sales. You will make commissions for other legitimate businesses. And yes you can do it from home, and you can set your own hours.

The difference between an affiliate marketer and one who uses affiliate links is what I call Passive and Active marketing.

Passive marketing is a way to generate extra money without trying to sell the product, AdSense from Google for example is a passive marketing tool.

Active marketing, requires a lot more work. It requires long hours of research, planning, writing and analysis. Active marketing is where the money is -- it's just not easy money. It is a business.

So. if you want to become an active affiliate marketer you must treat it like starting any business You must start with a business plan.

The article below will provide you with some tips you can utilize to help ensure you have success with your affiliate marketing quest. Thoroughly research any products that are interesting to you. You should never promote any products that never interest you because there is no way you are going to be able to convince people to buy products that you wouldn't normally buy. If you promote products that you are interested in, then you will have a much better chance at convincing people to purchase your product. Carefully select the affiliate programs that you plan on using. There are all types of affiliate programs out there. A few examples of well-known ones include Google, Amazon, and LinkShare. Want To Start Making Money Online But Don't Know Where To Start?

ByGina Bartone With so many Gurus telling us how they made it on the internet, how do you know what will work for you and where do you start? Once you open the door to the possibility of the internet marketing world, you seem to be faced with more questions than answers. So I suggest, pick a system and just follow it. Make your own mistakes, learn and develop from there. Search on YouTube for a model that suits you and that you feel you would be able to implement. Don't get distracted by all the other offerings from various experts. Search on YouTube for people who have implemented a system that has worked for them. This is a great place to start. At this early stage it is better watch short videos than to read lengthy books. Remember, you are just searching to find a simple system. For example you may choose to become an affiliate marketer which involves selling existing products which sellers are happy to offer a good commission to you for promoting and eventually selling their ...

How to Crush It With Facebook Ads

It seems there are a lot of people out there that have a negative view of using pay-per-click advertising to build their list. Paid advertising is in fact one of the BEST ways to authentically and rapidly build your list with highly qualified and motivated leads. But, you have to be willing to pay. So, as an Internet marketer, I strongly feel that online ads are an integral part of any marketing campaign. It's our duty (and sometimes a challenge) to design ads that catch the user's attention and get them to click on it. It's as simple as that. One of the more popular places where online ads have been growing in popularity is on Facebook. The social networking site has over 750 million users - which demonstrates a massive reach when it comes to offering your services into new markets. Thus, it makes sense that Internet marketers have been using Facebook as another platform (along with Google AdWords) to extend their marketing campaign. But, there is a catch. What is the...
