Why Affiliate Marketing Is Not Everyone's Cup of Tea

Affiliate marketing offers the biggest online money earning potential. It is open to all but it is a fact that it is not everyone's cup of tea. There are several reasons for this cold truth. I wish to share my views which would show the success roads to earning a full-time income through affiliate marketing.

1. Though you would read in some places in the internet that you don't need a website or blog to pursue affiliate marketing, it is not so. For a beginner, promoting other's products is possible only through a blog or website. The only other avenue is advertising through PPC ads such as Google AdWords which of course requires big investment.

2. Affiliate marketing requires people to know to identify the hot niche. There is no point in promoting products that are not in demand anymore.

3. To find out the products that sell high, you need to thoroughly know how ClickBank works, how to explore various metrics mentioned against each product in the ClickBank marketplace.

4. After identifying the hot selling products, you must do a keyword analysis to find out the proper keywords that people are searching for to buy those products and this is a big effort.

5. The next step would be to write a blog post that contains the keywords you have narrowed down.

6. Finally, you must promote the blog post URL in as many places as possible that include social bookmarking sites, social networks, affiliate marketing and income opportunities forums etc.

Would these bring instant results? Would your blog posts generate several sales?

Probably but don't be surprised if nothing happens. You might have done everything proper but still there are veterans who have done better than you.

In your next attempt, you would improve your efforts in all the six steps mentioned above. During that process, you would learn a few more fine points and this goes on for a couple of more rounds before you finally see your first sale.

And when that happens, you would know what exactly affiliate marketing is. You have started your journey and on your way to realize your dream of working from home.

Even at this stage, you cannot assume that you have mastered affiliate marketing. Search engines would modify their algorithms that would certainly affect your Internet marketing efforts. You would have to re-plan your keyword analysis, fine tune your article writing skill and explore new avenues to propagate your blog post URLs, especially through new web 2.0 properties.

In order to know what is happening in the search engine world, you must keep reading popular blogs and forums that discuss the relevant issues.

It would take a minimum of two years to become a full-time affiliate marketer and see big jump in your online revenues.

How To Set Up A Successful Pay-Per-Click Campaign

If you are familiar with Pay-Per-Click ads, then you know that these types of paid search marketing work by putting ads on the side bar of your search engine or web site and are used to bring people to your web site. The concept is pretty simple. You create an ad.You place a price upon its worth. And you submit it to a search engine. When someone clicks on that ad, you are charged a price for it and they end up on your web site. You only have to pay if someone clicks on it. Sounds pretty simple, doesn't it? But now for the tricky question. Are you getting your money's worth from these ads? Ninety-nine percent of the businesses that use this type of advertising do not understand it. They send people to their home page and don't even know why the person came there in the first place. What's worse is the person who cost you that advertising cost leaves without you ever knowing what they were looking for. How much does this cost you each month? Does this mean that you...
