Becoming a successful affiliate marketer is a great way to make some extra income from the comfort of your own home. Unfortunately, affiliate marketing is not as easy as some industry experts make it out to be. In order to make any money at all, you need to invest a lot of time and be prepared to work hard. 1. Don't quit your full time job. Therefore, you should work on affiliate marketing during your spare time, and only when you start generating regular commission checks should you even consider quitting your job.

6. Don't be afraid of making mistakes. Some new affiliate marketers are so scared about doing things wrong that they fail to take any action at all. Remember, every mistake that you make will teach you something for the future. In the short term mistakes may cost you some time and money, but in the long term, you will be thankful for the knowledge and insight that you gained from your past mistakes.

7. Don't try to do everything yourself. Outsourcing some of your work is the faster way of becoming a successful marketer. For example, if you are looking to use article marketing to promote some products but you hate writing, you can outsource the article creation to freelance writers.
