Traffic Generation Tip - Why Affiliate Marketers Should Love Video Marketing

ByMichael Cervantes
Unless you've been living under a rock for the last several years, you probably already know that video marketing has become huge on the Internet. In fact, many marketers use videos to sell their products instead of having the traditional long sales letter. Likewise, many business owners who sell information products are selling video courses in addition to (or instead of) e-books and audio programs.
In this discussion, however, we're not talking about using videos as information products or on sales letters. We want to encourage you to consider video marketing as a strong form of traffic generation that you can put to use right away.
Here are 4 quick tips for generating traffic from video submissions:
1. Create an instructional video and send it to YouTube and other popular video directories. Don't bother trying to sell your products directly on these videos. At best, this would probably be ineffective because most people are not going to YouTube in order to watch sales messages. In the worst-case scenario, you may end up getting banned by the website if you violate the terms of service. Instead, focus on creating helpful videos that teach people how to do something in your niche, whether it's performing a certain exercise like lifting dumbbells, teaching a dog to sit and lie down, or planting herbs in a garden. Whatever it is, your audience will appreciate your instruction and be more receptive to you when you mention your website.
2. Make sure to include your website information somewhere in the video. Some marketers like to add an introductory page with their business name and web address and then a similar screen shot at the end of the video. You can also have a small message that shows up at the bottom during the entire video, as long as it does not interfere with the content of the video itself.
3. Give it time. Just like blogging or article marketing, you have to stick with this process for a while. Sure, you might end up having one of your videos rank well for a particularly valuable keyword phrase and get lots of traffic very quickly. You might also end up creating a popular video that goes "viral" and gets lots more attention than you were expecting. In all likelihood, however, you're going to have to rely on the cumulative effect of submitting many different videos over time. So before you decide that video marketing just doesn't work for your niche, make sure you put in your due diligence.
4. In certain niches, screen capture videos do really well. Obviously, if you are selling anything related to software, this option is a no-brainer. But there are other niches in which screen capture videos could work well. Look into this option if you don't like the idea of putting yourself on camera work aren't very good at handling digital camcorders.

How to Crush It With Facebook Ads

It seems there are a lot of people out there that have a negative view of using pay-per-click advertising to build their list. Paid advertising is in fact one of the BEST ways to authentically and rapidly build your list with highly qualified and motivated leads. But, you have to be willing to pay. So, as an Internet marketer, I strongly feel that online ads are an integral part of any marketing campaign. It's our duty (and sometimes a challenge) to design ads that catch the user's attention and get them to click on it. It's as simple as that. One of the more popular places where online ads have been growing in popularity is on Facebook. The social networking site has over 750 million users - which demonstrates a massive reach when it comes to offering your services into new markets. Thus, it makes sense that Internet marketers have been using Facebook as another platform (along with Google AdWords) to extend their marketing campaign. But, there is a catch. What is the...
